About 300 Clinton campaign and state party volunteers turned out for the event inside a sweltering warehouse on Austin's east side.
But during a speech Tuesday in Austin, Kaine responded to Donald Trump's comment about Hillary Clinton, in which the Republican presidential nominee said, "If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks".
Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine will appear in New Hampshire on Saturday, according to a press release from the Hillary Clinton campaign. It is also critically important to successful governance. We always look at Texas in the Democratic family.
"We're all working so hard to try to get Hillary and Tim elected, any time to see him face to face is an fantastic opportunity", said volunteer Kyle Johnson. "We are serious about this". Kaine was making fundraising stops here in Texas, as well as thanking locals who are working on the campaign.
For volunteers burning up the phones in Austin, Kaine warned against taking Clinton's double digit lead for granted. The election, he said, has been a "season of surprises" that requires resilience from Democrats across the country. "It's not that hard", Kaine said. "And I think Donald Trump revealed again many other statements, reveal the same thing but it revealed this complete temperamental misfit with the character that's required to do the job and in a nation, we gotta be pulling together and countenancing violence is not something any leader should do". There, he said if Clinton is elected, gun rights supporters could possibly do something about it.
And judging from the extraordinarily high "negative" poll numbers of Mrs. Clinton and GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, Sen. "Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is".
Hillary Clinton is fortunate that most voters do not find her opponent trustworthy either.
"It's called the power of unification - 2nd Amendment people have wonderful spirit and are tremendously unified, which gives them great political power", said campaign spokesman Jason Miller in a statement. Kaine said after his meet-and-greet with volunteers that hearing that comment made his blood run cold.
"We are very excited that he has included Blaine County into his busy schedule", Davidson said in an email. "Do you want a "You're hired" or a "You're fired" president?"
