Donald Trump Asks Capitol Hill to Support Him Following Khan Comments

In that same interview, Trump had more to say, targeting the the Khan's religion and questioning why Ghazala Khan didn't speak. "Donald Trump supports our soldiers and supports our veterans, like no other leader in my lifetime".

But the candidate did not apologize and quickly pivoted to talking about terrorism in the statement.
