'No Man's Sky' players can't meet up with each other just yet

Players who've taken advantage of No Man's Sky's pre-order bonus - the Domanish S84, Alpha Vector starship - on PS4 are quickly finding themselves stranded after upgrading from that to a new ship. Alongside these two indicators is a separate icon reserved for games that offer online options when players connect to the PlayStation Network.
The space exploration game No Man's Sky features biodiversity that would make Earth weep with envy, and players are incredibly avid taxonomers.
No Man's Skylimited edition boxes have stickers covering online play icons, but Sony says it was just a simple mixup. That's partly the fault of Hello Games, but it's also partly the fault of a player- and press-driven hype machine that quickly spiraled out of the developer's control.
The corner of the internet that had built up "No Man's Sky" as a sort of all-game with limitless possibilities is disappointed by the results, but the story doesn't end there.
"No Man's Sky" has a bevy of handsome vistas, but don't expect to share them with friends easily.
Developer Hello Games noted that pre-order items will have different names in the actual game. Within 24 hours of going live, players had discovered some 10 million species in the game, more than exist on earth, Murray said. If, for example, you find yourself on the planet Echo in the Eternal XIII galaxy, you might come across a hopping, jiggly little alien now known as a Squiggly Poop. But I digress. What No Man's Sky represents is an explorer in all of us, while having to adhere to concepts of practicality such as being able to travel across planets, between planets and beyond solar systems to find new planets.
Hello Games seems aware of the game's teething issues. "You can have-and you'll see this from our patch notes-we're able to change huge things in the universe because we have complete control".
