Apple Keynote: All You Need To Know About The New iPhone 7
Sep 17 2016 by Michele Stevens
At Apple's product launch event Wednesday, the company confirmed what many had been speculating for months: The new iPhone 7 does not have a headphone jack. iPhone users who want to communicate and listen to things through their devices will have to purchase the company's new wireless earbuds, the $159-per-pair AirPods.
As unhappy as I might be about Apple's removal of the headphone jack, I have to admit that it's not enough to spoil the appeal of the new iPhone 7. We are reporting back on this memorable evening, from which words such as "tax" and "Ireland" were glaringly absent.
No matter how you try and sell it to us - the lack of headphone socket on the iPhone is going to be annoying for quite some time. The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices now won't be available in 16GB and 64GB storage versions and instead will come in 32GB and 128GB variants.
The two friends are loyal iPhone users. While playing Pokemon Go on your new Apple Watch, you will be able to see how far you have to walk to reach an egg, how far you have already walked and how many calories you burnt in the process.
You can pre-order an iPhone 7 from Apple.com, Apple retail stores and the Apple Store iOS app. Its starting price is an eye-watering £1,249.
Apple iOS 10 update causing problems for some iPhone users
Apple announced the latest iOS 10 at the annual developer's conference WWDC 2016, and it has on offered various new features. The iPhone 4s, the 2nd and 3rd generation iPad, and the original iPad mini will not be upgradable to iOS 10.
The iPad Pro, which got a price cut in the U.S., has also gone up in the UK. The iPhone 7, even with the teeth-grinding omission of a headphone jack, will only amp up Apple's sales later this month. Will humanity ever recover from such a blow? Too bad you didn't land on "Air Buds", that would have been fun. But this "courage" has a price: £ 120.
With the built-in Global Positioning System, the Apple Watch 2 records accurate distance, pace and speed for outdoor exercises like running, cycling, hiking, or swimming, without the need for it to be paired to an iPhone.
As usual, Apple has not simply changed the face of the world.
Apple is hoping its new iPhone and an updated Apple Watch, known as Series 2, will help reverse a recent decline in sales. All the new styles can be ordered beginning September 9. You'll know the answer to this question in October for £278.
Apple will be using a new dual-core processor in the Series 2 lineup and will also start using the new processor for the older-version Apple Watch, now referred to as Series 1.
