After he was seen being carried through a restaurant into the Vikings locker room at brand-new US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, fans were left to wonder about the extent of Peterson's injury.
The running back went down with a horrendous looking knee injury during the Vikings 17-14 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.
Peterson tore the meniscus in his right knee against the Packers Sunday, but coach Mike ZImmer is not ruling him out for this week.
Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said Monday that Adrian Peterson has a torn meniscus in his right knee.
Although Peterson was on crutches and wearing a brace after the game, Zimmer's comments and reports out of Minnesota seemed to indicate that the team had lucked out.

The appearance is partly a pitch to female voters. "So, I'm not going to ask him questions he doesn't want to have answered". Rival Hillary Clinton has criticized Trump for failing to share much about his medical records while calling for her own.
The Vikings were unable to secure the win without suffering significant injuries, however.
"I have a lot of confidence in those two guys", Zimmer said.
The Vikings (2-0) have three more games before their bye week.
"We are going through the evaluation process to figure out what the next procedure will be", Zimmer said. "We are still going through all the options".
He has rushed for 50 yards on 31 carries, with no touchdowns. In fact, as insane as it sounds, coach Zimmer did not dismiss the idea that Peterson could play this week when they take on the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
