The latest infiltration bid comes as New Delhi and Islamabad are locked in a bitter diplomatic war of words following the Uri terror attack, which India has blamed on militants from Pakistan.
India regularly accuses its arch-rival of arming and sending rebels across the border that divides Kashmir between the two countries, to launch attacks on its forces.
The suspected infiltration took place near the town of Uri, the site of Sunday's attack on the army base.
On September 6, the Pakistani troops were accused of firing small arms and mortars to target the Indian positions and forward posts in Shahpur Kandi area along the de facto border Poonch sector.
Hasina, who is now in NY to attend the 71st UN General Assembly, said she is deeply saddened to learn about the dastardly terrorist attack on the army base on September 18.
"It became clear that a cover was being provided to infiltrators from Pakistan".
The meeting took stock of the unprovoked firing from across the border.
In the other operation, a group of heavily armed militants was challenged by the security forces in Nowgam area of Kupwara district near the LoC, police sources said.
