Michigan State is not having a good season.

Surprisingly, the Spartans are giving Northwestern seven points as Vegas feels fairly comfortable Michigan State will win this one by more than a touchdown, for some reason. It's all the more impressive coming in a Big Ten road game. From a home loss to a top-10 team to a road loss in overtime, the Spartans have now lost two straight games by double digits to sub-.500 teams. They started the year with losses to Western Michigan and Illinois State before finally getting a win over Duke in week three.

Things got insane from there, with Michigan State making a quarterback switch from Lewerke to Tyler O'Connor, who started the team's first five games. On the ground, Justin Jackson rushed for 171 yards and a touchdown in 26 carries while Thorson had 11 yards and a touchdown in nine carries.

Northwestern game had an over/under of 42.

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis Welcome Second Child
She added the very popular, very relevant "Never Trump" hashtag, and really we just could not love her more. This is the second child for the couple, who previously welcomed now 2-year-old Otis Alexander in 2014.

US govt prohibits Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones on flights
If you were looking for an alternative to the Note 7 Samsung may have just made the deal sweet enough for most buyers to bite. Even the major USA cell carriers stopped selling them completely and offered free replacement devices.

Iran-Backed Rebels in Yemen Launch Missiles at US Navy
Most notably, a rocket apparently targeted an air base in Taif, some 520 kilometers (325 miles) from the Yemeni border. The U.N. and rights groups estimate the conflict has killed at least 9,000 people and displaced almost 3 million more.

Northwestern pulled away for a 54-40 victory Saturday, spoiling MSU's homecoming game and quarterback change and Riley Bullough's return and anything else the Spartans tried on offense or defense.

Northwestern got a 29-yard touchdown run from Justin Jackson, then the Spartans got a 41-yard Michael Geiger field goal. The Wildcats put up almost 500 yard of total offense, and Jackson ran for 188 yards. NU opened the second half with another 14 points to pad its lead, and just when the Spartans clawed back to within two points junior receiver Solomon Vault put the game on ice by returning a kickoff for a touchdown.

Have a prediction for today's Michigan State football game?

O'Connor led Michigan State with 255 passing yards, three touchdowns and an interception, while Lewerke had 99 yards and a touchdown. At 2-4, Michigan State visits Maryland next weekend. It's the first four-game losing streak Mark Dantonio has ever had.
