Carlota Ciganda of Spain blew a late five-stroke lead, but recovered, to win the rainy LPGA KEB HanaBank Championship in a playoff from Alison Lee of America at Incheon in the Korea Republic on Sunday. She was the first-round leader after a 65, but dropped to second place behind Lang, the reigning U.S. Women's Open champion, after the second round. Lee is winless in two full seasons on the tour. They returned to the 18th hole for the playoff, where Ciganda defeated Lee, the world number 44, with a birdie on the first extra hole. But while Ciganda faltered in the group ahead, the American made a 5-foot birdie putt on the par-4 15th and a 12-footer on the par-3 17th. She also won an event in Germany last month. Feng has performed strongly since winning a bronze medal in Rio.

Korean-American Lee again found trouble on the 18th in the playoff, missing the fairway with her drive and second shot, before nearly making birdie with a monster putt. "I didn't make any of the putts I looked at on the back".

Ciganda and Lee finished at 10-under-par 278, two strokes clear of Feng and Min-Sun Kim.
