Taking place some thousands of years before the events of Episode IV, Star Wars: The Knights Of The Old Republic, is an online multiplayer game, which has been gathering hordes of fans since its release in 2011.
The galaxy far, far away is now closer than ever and has enough references and Easter eggs to cause a great disturbance in the Force.
The trailer showed Jyn as a child and revealed that her father, Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen), while absent from her life when she is older, was actually a loving parent.
In the film, Krennic is the director of advanced weapons research for the Imperial military who is tasked with overseeing the construction of the Death Star and keeping it secure. Also, K-2SO (played by Alan Tudyk), the upcoming film's requisite lovable droid's image made the cut, though he's nowhere near as adorable as BB-8. Each poster shows one of the protagonists -plus the villain, Director Orson Krennic-standing in darkness, bathed in a glowing blue light with the aforementioned blueprints projected on to their faces.
Chirrut Îmwe (Donnie Yen): A warrior monk with faith in the force. "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" opens in US theaters on December 16, 2016.
The official synopsis from Lucasfilm reads: "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, an all-new epic adventure".
Directed by Gareth Edwards, the film stars Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso, a young member of the Rebel Alliance tasked with a critical mission: stealing the plans to the Death Star. Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are producing, with John Knoll and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers. This one, however, caught our eye as it's a tie-in with Duracell and tells a brilliant little story about children's imagination and Star Wars.
