Cher & James Corden Give "I Got You Babe" a Modern Update
Oct 21 2016 by Francis Osborne
Cher has always been known as the queen of reinvention.
The 70-year-old superstar made a decision to sing her iconic hit "I Got You Babe" with Corden, but not before giving the tune a 2016 revamp. "James, what are you doing?" she asked dumbfounded as he flipped his raven locks.
Joining the star was host James Corden, who dressed as 80s-era Cher for their special collaboration.
Jokes aside, can we just talk for a second about how good Cher looks and sounds at 70? "Yeah, but out of the two of us what makes you possibly think that you could be Cher?" she wondered.
Hoboken Train Accident Preliminary Report Released
Investigators obtained an event data recorder and a video data recorder - which were both undamaged and in good condition. The engineer has told investigators he was doing the speed limit in the station, but has no memory of the crash.
Cher is not of this earth, but we will forever greet her as our one, true Overlord. And of course, the main verse has been changed to "I got you bae" to fully reflect the times.
While Cher and Sonny's "I Got You Babe" is a classic love song, you could say that it's a little dated now.
Of entering her eighth decade, she confessed: 'I just don't know how to accept it - I don't want to, either - but I don't really know how to'. 'She's all right, but I'm - it's like, I'm not a huge fan'.
