The NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, which was conducted on Saturday and Sunday - after the tape was made public but before the second presidential debate - shows Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton with 46 percent support compared to Trump's 35 percent. "And I consider that to be a very good trait", 70-year-old Trump said in response to the last question of the second presidential debate asked by Karl Becker, a town-hall participant.
"I have great respect for women".
The debate was the culmination of a stunning stretch in the race for the White House, which began with the release of a new video in which Trump is heard bragging about how his fame allowed him to "do anything" to women. Bill Clinton's uncomfortable look became a meme, but he was not forced to interact with his accusers on national television. "Hillary Clinton attacked those same women".
The US presidential election takes place on 8 November, when one of them will be voted into one of the most powerful jobs in the world.
"It's not only this video that raises questions about his fitness to be our president", she said.
Trump, in the end, did a better job than he had in the first debate of inciting his core voters, but did little or nothing to bring in new ones.
"Yes, this is who Donald Trump is", she said, later adding, "This is not who we are". "I said things. I was embarrassed by it, but I have tremendous respect for women and women have respect for me", he said.
Meanwhile, many Indian Americans Oct. 9 rallied behind Clinton after the surfacing of lewd comments against women by Trump, which the community members described as "predatory and sickening".
"Indian Americans deserve better than Donald Trump", said Jolly.
Trump fired back: "Because you'd be in jail". They did not shake hands as they met at center stage.
Trump's disagreement with running mate Mike Pence over Syria was the top tweeted moment. I don't agree with almost anything else he says or does, but I do respect that.
The debate at Washington University in St. Louis came two days after The WashingtonPost obtained and published video footage in which Trump boasts about subjecting women to sexual assault. Mr. Trump chose to make claims about how President Obama's healthcare plan is a fraud. "She's standing in front of him - what's he going to do?" In order to have a chance at winning the presidency, Trump has to carry several states that are leaning toward his opponent, including Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Trump was scheduled to be there along with Ryan, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and Reince Priebus, the head of the Republican Party.
