Voters gather in southern ME for final debate night

Clinton fired back, calling Trump a "puppet" for the Kremlin.
Perhaps most controversial was the discussion on abortion - the first time the candidates have properly engaged on this.
- David A. Fahrenthold: The WaPo reporter who has broken every piece of news about the Trump Foundatiuon didn't get mentioned by name during the debate but he was all over it. Clinton mentioned Fahrenthold's reporting about the six-foot portrait Trump bought of himself - with charity money.
Many lawmakers and commentators have challenged Trump's comments about election rigging because state and local officials - many of whom are Republicans - control voting.
The third and final debate of the caustic 2016 United States presidential election started with a sober tone... but ended up with Donald Trump questioning the fundamental underpinnings of the nation.
They called one another unfit to hold office. Clinton kept on targeting Trumps alleged misdeed at his foundation, questioning even his net worth, his bankruptcies and the Trump University. "I would like to promise and pledge to all of my voters and supporters and to all the people of the United Staes that I will totally accept the results of this great and historic presidential election - if I win", Donald Trumpsaid, emphasizing the last three words by pointing into the crowd.
"You look at all of the places that I just left", Trump said. "I will look at it at the time", he said. "I am keeping you in suspense", he said. During an exchange about taxes, Trump called Clinton "such a nasty woman".
The billionaire tycoon again referenced a "rigged election" and said the media was "so dishonest" and had "poisoned the minds of voters".
Trump Refuses to Say If He'll Accept Election Results
The candidates also sparred on Russia, when Clinton accused Trump of currying favor with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He added: "I'll keep you in suspense, okay?" "She's struggling to get out of public housing and get a job of her own".
Syria conflict: Aleppo 'humanitarian pause' to take effect
Secretary of State John Kerry discussed the Syrian crisis by phone on Thursday, the Russian foreign ministry said in a statement. Rebels say the goal of Moscow and Assad is to empty rebel-held areas of civilians so they can take over the whole city.
"Donald J. Trump, absolutely, hands down", said Levell. "That's not the way our democracy works". While 59% rated Clinton positively on acting presidential, only 40% did the same for Donald Trump. Who knows? But I have honestly met precocious high school students with more civic and policy knowledge than Trump displayed during the final presidential debate. He said nice things about me. "If Russia got along well. and fought ISIS, that would be good".
It seems like an outlier, but the latest WMUR Granite State Poll shows Clinton cruising past Trump in New Hampshire, 48% to 33%. No puppet! You're the puppet!
When Wallace moved on to the groping allegations, Trump said the claims made by nine women were outright "lies".
Debt vs. budget deficits: Clinton said that when her husband, Bill Clinton, was president, the country's $300 billion budget deficit turned into a $200 billion surplus.
Clinton noted that Trump implied at rallies he would not have done what he was accused of because the women were not attractive enough. But he ended up, after Clinton's hazing - "Donald thinks belittling women makes him bigger" - blurting out as she talked about entitlements: "Such a nasty woman".
"I'm not voting for either of those candidates anyway, and I just figure it's just going to be more of the same nonsense", said Garrett Thacker, 30, who works at a vehicle dealership in Galloway, Ohio. And: "There's only one of us on this stage who's actually shipped jobs to Mexico. So he goes around with crocodile tears about how bad it is, but he has given jobs to Chinese steelworkers, not American steel workers". But Trump said he doubted that Russian Federation had hacked emails from her campaign.
Clinton: "He never apologizes or says he's sorry for anything".
"He choked but then got in a Twitter war when the Mexican president said, 'We are not paying for that wall, ' " she said.
Political tribalism has already caused gridlock in government and eroded democratic institutions from the Supreme Court to Congress. It was another reminder to conservative voters that even if they don't support him fully, issues they care greatly about, such as abortion and gun rights, could be at stake.
