The 52-year-old wife of President Barack Obama has energized the Democratic camp with a series of speeches taking Trump to task for his strident rhetoric and for what she brands his "frightening" attitude towards women.

Trump repeatedly boasts that his crowds are generally larger than hers.
Clinton, meanwhile, dodged a question about whether she would meet one-on-one with Trump after the election.
"Just for the record, in this country, the United States of America, the voters decide elections", the first lady said.
The latest rolling poll average compiled by tracker RealClearPolitics showed Clinton, who turned 69 on Wednesday, with a 5.4 point lead in a national race against Trump and two outsiders - pointing to a likely electoral college victory for the Democrat.

The campaign has neither denied nor confirmed the authenticity of the emails. But to the frustration of many in his party, Trump has struggled to stay on message, often turning to personal attacks against private citizens who he feels have wronged him, like the Gold Star family of Captain Humayun Khan, a Muslim-American soldier killed in action. While campaigning in OH, he criticized Clinton for being too tough on Vladimir Putin, another surprisingly favorable comment from Trump about the Russian leader. The practice continues today, most recently with Democrat Debbie Dingell, who took over her (still living) husband's seat in Detroit, Michigan just previous year.
