QB Aaron Rodgers: Packers' energy level 'wasn't where it needed to be'

Now that was fun, wasn't it? But the Colts, who some described as the worst team in football, were missing five starters and were coming off a awful loss to Kansas City the week before.
The Green Bay Packers need a spark after another loss at Lambeau Field.
At times it wasn't pretty, but it felt like the Packers had developed a new identity on offense over the last two games.
Todman wasn't the only former Husky on the Colts to have a big play. The Packers' run of success isn't necessarily over, but game after game they play like an average, run-of-the-mill National Football League team. Which means that, if they don't qualify for the postseason, the Packers may finally decide to find a coach to match with Rodgers for at least the remaining years of his playing career.
But the defense is still an issue, especially late in the game.
"It's not what you want", wide receiver Jordy Nelsonsaid of the opening kickoff. This version doesn't have any of those attributes.
"We've got a lot of talent", Taylor said, according to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Bob McGinn. But to say they lacked energy is unreal.
So why does Indianapolis save its best for the high-stakes games? Clinton-Dix came on a blitz and had a shot at the sack but Luck shook him off and found tight end Jack Doyle for a 20 yard gain.
Clinton-Dix then pilfered another pass and the Pack cashed in on a patented free play.
This is a very good photo of the squirrel. The Colts certainly did so, and you can't get much better than the drive they had to close out the first half and take a double-digit lead into the break. Pagano's faith in his defense has cost the Colts wins against Detroit and Texans, and almost would have in Tennessee if Marcus Mariota could hold onto the ball.

Mark Kirk and holding retiring Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid's seat in Nevada with a victory by Catherine Cortez Masto. But the party is still bitterly divided, and it will take all of Trump's negotiating skills to get his agenda passed.
Trump Projected to Become Next US President
Supporters at Hillary Clinton's election night rally in Manhattan, New York are subdued. "I can't believe it's as close as it is". At the time of Podesta's speech, Trump had already claimed victory in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Iowa, and Pennsylvania.
Resolve was needed from the franchise quarterback after the other Colts' units had more than done their part to grasp an early lead in Lambeau.
On Sunday, they again showed they can throw a few, too.
Where did Jordan Todman come from? They have games at Tennessee, Washington and Philadelphia before returning to Green Bay for home games against Houston and Seattle.
Josh Ferguson had the block on Clinton-Dix at around the Colts 25 to spring Todman on the opening kickoff.
Importance of 10. The loss of Donte Moncrief for the better part of six weeks can not be understated.
It was the second consecutive week the Packers' offense scored a touchdown on its last series, but the defense wasn't able to get the necessary stop to get a chance to retake the lead.
The Packers played without pass rushing linebacker Clay Matthews for the third time this season. His guys couldn't get to the quarterback. The Colts Bye Week comes at a crucial time (which proves their decision not to take it after London correct) and this offense will likely be back at full strength in time for the final stretch of the season.
I spoke with despondent Packers fans via Facebook Live after the game.
The Colts came up with two third-down conversions on the ensuing drive to put the game away. But they couldn't get it.
"We didn't play good enough, I'm disappointed, I'm irritated, the fact that we were not sharp as a football team", McCarthy said.
