Rs 1.16 crore) while the Roadster will set you back by 129,180 Euro (approx.
Internationally, the 2017 Mercedes E Class is available in two engines - E 200 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor which puts out 184 PS and 300 Nm of torque, and a E 220 d 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine which is good for 195 PS and 400 Nm of torque.
Now, though, the Stuttgart-based auto giant has added three new avatars to the AMG GT line-up - the AMG GT Roadster, AMG GT C Roadster and the AMG GT-R. The real party-piece for both the convertibles is that their roofs can be folded away or retracted back electrically at speeds up to 50kmph. Top of the range, the AMG GT R Coupé generates 585hp and 700Nm torque.
The power bumps mean that the AMG GT Roadster is capable of 0-62mph in four seconds flat - identical to the hardtop - while the GT C Roadster does the same sprint in 3.7 seconds, one-tenth quick than the S coupe. This includes the Burmester sound system, as well as keyless-go, door sill panels in stainless steel with AMG lettering and Merc's Parktronic system with reversing camera, all of which is standard on the GT C Roadster.
The GT C gets the same AMG Panamericana grille as the GT R, the Active Air Control aero system and the epic AMG performance exhaust system that could be heard echoing so ferociously around the supercar paddock of this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed. For an additional 1,963.50 euros, AMG will install roll bars and a 4-point racing harness.
