Forecasters say northwest Oklahoma bore the brunt of the ice storm, with more than three-quarters of an inch of ice accumulating in some areas.
Motorists are advised to be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
The storm should be completed by 11 a.m. or noon on Wednesday in the western part of the state and before 5 p.m.in the eastern part of the state.
Most of the region should expect ice accumulations of less than a half an inch, but some spots, especially counties under the Ice Storm Warning, could see almost an inch.
"A wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is possible before quickly changing to freezing rain", a weather service advisory said. Snow levels lifting to 7000 feet are causing the dangers of snow packed mountains and travel is impacted through passes. The winter storm watch issued Sunday is no longer in effect.
