Ralph Lauren Will Reportedly Dress Melania Trump for the Inauguration
Jan 18 2017 by Johnny Bowman
Inauguration week festivities are looming and First Lady to be Melania Trump is meeting with designers and scouring for appropriate outfits.
Lauren was responsible for dressing Hillary on several pivotal occasions throughout the presidential campaign.
It's now been established that Ralph Lauren will design a bespoke gown for Melania, which has come as a surprise to many considering his vociferous support for Hillary Clinton during the election. Mrs. Trump wore a one-shoulder white Lauren jumpsuit for her husband's acceptance speech at the Hilton Hotel in New York Nov. 9, which she purchased at the designer's Madison Avenue store.
The designer is reportedly also working on additional pieces for Trump to wear throughout the inauguration week, WWD says, as well as a few pieces for the rest of the family.

European Parliament President Voting To Go To Third Round
The new president will lead the EU's only elected body, which will have the final say on a Brexit deal expected in two years time. The election was unusually contested, and for the first time included a debate among the candidates.
We already know which top designers will not be dressing Melania.
At her husband's inauguration, Laura Bush wore designs by the Dominican-American Oscar de la Renta in 2003 and Michael Faircloth of Dallas, Texas in 2001.
The future first lady could wear the Ralph Lauren outfit during the day and change into the gown for the evening's celebrations, which include a 1,500-people candlelight dinner at Union Station Thursday.
In turn, his wife Melania will replace Michelle Obama as the First Lady and her outfit for the inauguration has been much-talked about in the last couple of weeks. Melania previously wore a $4,000 white Ralph Lauren pantsuit on Election Night.
