Mass Effect: Andromeda is out on March 21st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. A new dynamic cover system allows for more freedom in combat, and will see players being able to use nearly anything as a shield from incoming fire, including their own vehicle. Bioware have also explained that there are several different weapon types from pistols, shotguns, sniper rifles, assault rifles, and melee weapons.
As for the weapons, the door is swung wide open for Andromeda, as you don't have to worry about particular character classes in order to use certain weapons within the game.
A variety of guns from different galaxies will be present in-game too, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. Remnant weapons use energy beams; they're very accurate even with a high rate of fire, but will overheat periodically. Utilize the most flexible progression system ever in the Mass Effect franchise to build the Pathfinder exactly how you want, focused on the abilities and skills that will make you virtually unstoppable. Players have easy access between the three categories, with no restrictions. There are a range of new skills for fans of the series to experience, as well as returning favorites. More videos focused on squad commands and specializations will be releasing in the near future.
We then get a quick lesson on the skills and abilities.
