Goehrke tweeted the Canadian, "if patriots win we go on a date?" after Bouchard had asserted her confidence in Atlanta, who held a 21-3 half-time lead when the initial tweet was made.
Eugenie, fondly, referred to as Genie by her fans, took the 20-year-old student from the University of Missouri, to a pro basketball game at the Barclays Centre in NY, featuring an Eastern Conference match between Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks.
And on Wednesday, the 20-year-old Missouri student's fantasy date became a reality.
She uploaded a photo on Twitter with her "Super Bowl Date" on their way to a basketball game between Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks at the Barclays Center. "I don't know if she meant that or not, but I hope she did".
With all this in mind, the Canadian tennis star fired off the following tweet. But one fan had a wager for her.
After Tom Brady inspired the miraculous win, Bouchard agreed to honour the bet with the complete stranger. A fan responded by asking, if the Patriots win, if she would go out on a date with him to which she responded, "sure". I don't even know what he looks like.
And finally her words came true.
The 22-year-old is now ranked No. 44 in the world.
If I ask (insert celebrity name here) for a date online, will he/she accept, and will it go anywhere?
All turned out well, though, with Bouchard saying she chose the Nets game as it might be a little less "awkward" than a dinner date.
