Jared Leto to Direct James Ellroy Crime Thriller

Development on 77 began almost two decades ago when Ellroy was hired by Paramount Pictures to provide the original screenplay.

77 will be produced by Leto and writer/producer and Law and Order creator Dick Wolf and Tony Ganz of Wolf Films. Along the way, they encounter "relentless corruption and crime", as well as a "dark and violent conspiracy".

This, however, is not Jared's first time directing.
