Milwaukee Brewers Ryan Braun right gets a high-five from third base coach Ed Sedar after Braun's three-run home run against the Chicago Cubs during the third inning of a baseball game Sunday

Kyle Schwarber and Ben Zobrist homered Sunday and Jake Arrieta pitched seven strong innings as the visiting Cubs had 11 hits, reaching double-digits for the second straight game, and beat Milwaukee 7-4.

Arrieta was dominant in his first start of the season in St. Louis, holding the Cardinals to one unearned run and four hits over six innings with six strikeouts. The Brewers had pulled within 5-3 in the third on a three-run homer by Ryan Braun.

OUR PICK: The Cubs are 21-5 in Arrieta's last 26 starts versus National League Central rivals and have won 42 of his last 57 starts overall. And tonight, the Cubs had another very scary collision involving two of their key players. He was the first lefty to start against the Cubs for the Brewers since Randy Wolf on June 7, 2012, at Miller Park. The Cubs said Baez was not in the concussion protocol.

Manager Joe Maddon was as eager as anybody to see lefty Brett Anderson make his Cubs debut Friday night. Since I came out of the game, I was icing it, so the swelling was going down. Much like Bryant's slump though, I am not really anxious.

Braun led off the inning with a single before moving to third after Jesus Aguilar walked and Jett Bandy was hit by pitch. He posted a 2.0 dWAR last season, as he has gained notoriety around baseball for his swipe tags, which have brought back a lost art around the game. This ballpark, you could put the ball on the ground here. Pittsburgh took advantage of two Atlanta errors, three passed balls and a wild pitch by Dickey to score three unearned runs.

The Tigers blew a 4-0 lead in the eighth, when Pablo Sandoval gave the Red Sox the lead with a three-run homer off Francisco Rodriguez (1-0).

"When the 95-97 comes back, it's going to be tough for teams, and it still is", he said. The Cubs pounded out 17 hits and walked six times with Kris Bryant driving in three and scoring while the twosome of Wilson Contreras and Javier;Baez combined for four RBI's and three runs.
