The price for the Samsung Galaxy S8 starts from $750, while it is a hundred bucks more expensive for Samsung Galaxy S8 plus. The phones will be available exclusively on Flipkart and Samsung retail shops from the 5th of May.
"The new Samsung S8 and S8+ are packed with a plethora of features that have set a new standard for the Samsung Galaxy series".
When it comes to unlocking your Galaxy S8 with biometric security, there's no shortage of options.
Speaking of which, both the Galaxy S8 and S8+ still boast of a glass - Corning Gorilla Glass 5 this time round - and metal body, but unlike their predecessor phones, Samsung's 2017 flagships have near bezel-less screens.
China on 'high alert' over North Korea
Another window of opportunity is coming up with the 85th anniversary of the founding of North Korea's army on Tuesday. The moves are said to be part of an effort to "reduce the time to react to a North Korea contingency".
Now talking about the specifications of the phones, both of them are very similar. Dropping the iconic home button in the latest devices, Samsung has opted for an nearly bezel-less front design with a screen-to-body ratio of 83 percent.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 ended up as a disaster for the company, but it seems the company is still confident to launch the successor of the phablet to cover up for the mess created past year.
The two devices are powered by an Exynos Octa-core (2.35 GHz Quad + 1.9 GHZ Quad) processor and run on Android 7.0 Nougat.
KGI explains that the full-screen design has offset other concerns relating to the Galaxy S8, such as its rear-facing fingerprint sensor and the lack of a dual-camera. The Samsung Galaxy S8+, as the name suggests, is bigger and comes with a larger 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display with same QHD resolution but 531ppi. It has a 4GB RAM and a 64GB internal storage which can be expandable upto 256 GB. Galaxy S8+ has a 12MP Primary Dual Pixel Camera, 8MP Front Camera and is fueled by a 3,500 mAh Battery. It is also a slight step up from last year's Galaxy S7 which scored a 3 out of 10, and it also brings it back on pair with the Galaxy S6 which also got a score of 4 out of 10. There is a dedicated button below volume rocker keys to launch Samsung's new voice-assistant "Bixby".
