Congressman in critical condition after shooting at baseball practice

The environment of Donald Trump wields the sables against the substitute of Comey in the 'Russiagate'

President Donald Trump suggested Thursday that Rep. Steve Scalise is in worse condition than many initially realized the day after he was shot at a congressional baseball practice. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer tweeted "our thoughts and prayers are with all affected".

A lone, rifle-wielding gunman opened fire on a congressional baseball practice in Alexandria early Wednesday morning. At the time of the shooting Scalise, the third highest-ranking member of the House of Representatives, was being protected by Capitol Police security detail.

Two Capitol Police officers also were injured during a shootout in which the suspected gunman, James T. Hodgkinson, of Belleville, Illinois, was killed.

In addition to Scalise, President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump visited Griner and her wife in the hospital on Wednesday night.

The GOP lawmakers' team was taking batting practice when gunshots rang out and chaos erupted. He says, "They ran right into the fire" and saved a lot of lives.

"He was in the outfield", Williams said about Barth during a news conference on Wednesday.

After Trump's visit, MedStar said Scalise, a Republican from Louisiana, had suffered injuries to internal organs and fractured bones during the shooting.

Chief Matthew R. Verderosa of the United States Capitol Police said in a statement that the injured agents were doing well.

While police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation said it was too early to determine whether it was a deliberate political attack, the shooting intensified concerns about the sharp divide and bitter rhetoric in US politics.

What we've got to get right now is making sure we learn, get better, improve and get on that path to where we want to go to. Gatland has picked a strong but still experimental lineup, though, to meet a Crusaders team which contains nine All Blacks.

Champions Trophy: India need 265 runs to reach finals
The bowling attack remains the weak link, and the team's fielding too has been uncharacteristically poor in this tournament. When asked about his skipper's batting, Rohit said, "It felt like he was batting overnight". "It's been 24 months".

Lawmakers told reporters Wednesday they are not concerned about their own safety during the game, with House members giving Speaker Paul D. Ryan and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi a standing ovation during a briefing about the shooting when the duo announced the game would go on.

The first couple also visited Capitol Police Officer Crystal Griner.

Congressman Rodney Davis told CNN he was at the plate at the time, and Scalise was in the field at second base. They were in good spirits despite the heat and humidity as they prepared for the congressional baseball match that pits Republicans against Democrats.

Members of Congress said they believe that they're at greater risk of harm. "I give him credit".

Doctors operated immediately, but additional surgery is required, the hospital said.

Capitol Police officers in Scalise's security detail returned fire, and Hodgkinson later died from his injuries.

Another victim, lobbyist Matt Mika, is in critical condition as of Thursday morning, according to a statement from his family.

"Just recently, I had a threat from somebody who said people were going to die because of a vote I took", Barletta said. From there, the two hid inside the dugout with Brooks and Flake until the shooter was no longer active.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the attack, which has raised questions about lawmakers' security, renewed the nation's contentious debate over guns and drawn fresh attention to the harsh rhetoric that reflects the deep political divisions in America. Gabby Giffords was targeted by a gunman in 2011.
