A Powerball ticket with the six winning numbers was sold Saturday night in Sun City, CA.
The jackpot is the 10th largest jackpot in American lottery history, according to the L.A. Times.
The winning ticket was sold at Marietta Liquor & Deli in the city of Menifee.
But Alberre said he has no idea which customer bought the ticket with all six numbers in Saturday night's drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery. The other option of a lump-sum payout would reduce the cash prize to $279 million.
The earliest the victor could claim their prize was 8 a.m. Sunday; the victor will have one year from the draw date to come forward.

Mueller, who preceded Comey as Federal Bureau of Investigation director, was the longest-serving director since J. Jeanne Shaheen, the subcommittee's top Democrat , said she also was "troubled" by Sessions' cancellation.

The Powerball jackpot, which was won by a lucky soul in California on Saturday , soared to almost $448 million, after last week's drawing failed to yield a victor for the top prize. Officials said the earliest the ticket can be redeemed is Monday. California is one of 44 states, plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, that participate in Powerball.
It was a switch that essentially traded lower odds for increased payouts, such as Saturday night's $448 million victor.
Menifee Mayor Neil Winter said Sunday that the liquor store that sold the ticket is located at a heavily visited intersection in an area developed as a retirement community in the 1960s. "We're very, very grateful for this to happen to our store", Alberre said.
According to CNN, the chances of winning Powerball are about one in 292 million, which translates to 0.0000003 percent.
