NEET 2017: Result this week, students await 8 marks for ambiguous questions

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to release the result for NEET exams today (June 20).

More than 11 lakh MBBS and BDS aspirants had appeared for the NEET.

Consequently, the CBSE released the OMR sheets of the students on June 13 and the official Answer Keys on June 15. While the board says that the results could be out before June 26, students are hopeful that they would get an extra 8 marks for ambiguous questions.

On Monday the vacation bench of SC - Justice Prafulla C. Pant and Justice Deepak Gupta - stayed the HC order and also barred the high courts in the country from entertaining any petition on NEET results 2017 saying, "High courts shouldn't have interfered as it affects the schedule of the admission". But the Madras HC had stayed the declaration on a plea citing lack of uniformity in question paper. The NEET 2017 result will bring relief to lakhs of students who are anxiously waiting for the result declaration and commencement of the counselling process.

The result will be available for students on the CBSE results portal which is Cbseresults.nic.in.
