Trump attorney: President not 'under investigation for obstruction'
Jun 20 2017 by Joanne Wise
Comey had admitted in his testimony to the US Senate Intelligence Committee on June 8 that he had given a memorandum of his conversations with Trump to a friend to leak to the media. Now, it seems, it is indeed changing. I didn't say investigation, YOU said investigation...the Washington Post said investigation... Thereupon, we were treated to heated debates - including an uncharacteristically cringe-inducing one Fox's Chris Wallace conducted with Sekulow - over whether Trump was acknowledging that he is under investigation ... or been told he was under investigation ... or ... something. "You know it exists".
And not unlike others who advise Trump on personal matters, Sekulow regularly appears on Fox News, as well as hosts a syndicated daily radio talk show.
Among these folks, Bannon arc of influence matters most for Trump on political posturing - how to keep the Trump voter warm despite little movement on jobs, healthcare legislation and now the Russian Federation investigation dominating prime time talk shows.
In a press conference in the Rose Garden, Trumpassured reporters that he would tell them about the tapes in a "very short period of time".
As previously represented by President Donald J. Trump, former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey, in his sworn testimony before a congressional committee, indicated that the president was not the subject of any Federal Bureau of Investigation probe.
Whether or not Mueller finds these reports to be valid will be hugely relevant to any finding of obstruction.

His lawyer says Cosby and Andrea Constand were lovers sharing a consensual sexual encounter at his suburban Philadelphia home. Prosecutors called 12 witnesses over a week of testimony , including Constand , but presented nearly no forensic evidence .
The president has directed some of his frustration at Rosenstein and Mueller. Sen.
Add to those apparent political leanings the Special Counsel's potentially limitless spending - paid out of DOJ's budget.
Sekulow also opened a conflict between the President's political team and his legal one, hinting that the President's tweets should be discounted even though the White House said they are an authentic expression of his views. He said Trump's statement on Twitter Friday was specifically in response to a story in The WashingtonPost about the expanding probe into Russia's election meddling. However, Sekulow has said that the tweet was the President's response to a media article about the non- existent investigation, a direct critique of the lack of authentic sources for the news that was published.
Insiders are anxious about links between Jared Kushner's current lawyer, Jamie S. Gorelick, and special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, who is investigating alleged ties between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.
"He takes the action that [the Attorney General's office] recommended and now he's being investigated by the Department of Justice. He's being investigated for taking the action that the attorney general and deputy attorney general recommended him to take by the agency who recommended the terminations." starts Sekulow. "That's the constitutional threshold question here".
