A trailer has debuted for the action film The Foreigner, starring Jackie Chan in a serious role as a man who goes for revenge when the police do nothing to help him. After this event, Chan's character becomes committed to finding the bombers and has to force the hard of a British government official (Brosnan) in order to do so.

The Foreigner is Campbell's first feature film since the 2011 superhero misfire Green Lantern, featuring Ryan Reynolds wearing a cartoon suit.

Screenwriter David Marconi, known for Enemy of the State, has adapted Stephen Leather's novel The Chinaman.

I enjoyed seeing that Jackie Chan still does some of his own stunts, especially the closed-quarters combat in The Foreigner. Ahead of a fall release, check out the trailer below.

The film is all set to release on 13 October and will be going up against biopic Marshall and horror film Happy Death Day. But he's putting the finishing touches to his latest venture, The Foreigner, that stars Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan.

From the looks of the first trailer, Foreigner nearly resembles Liam Neeson's Taken series: a father, with a set of "special skill" is out to get revenge because of his daughter.
