Nintendo Bringing Back The World Championships In October

Nintendo just announced that patch 1.2.1 has gone out for Deluxe, fixing one sole issue that "prolonged the time to return to the lobby after races near the start and end times of online tournaments".

The 2015 event was a very nostalgic affair, but Nintendo is looking to the future now as it fosters the upcoming generation of potential loyal Mario fans.

One of the most robust new features in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the addition of a revamped Battle mode that can be played both locally and online*.

"The first age group, 12 and Younger, will play as Mario on the Nintendo DS "Luigi's Mansion" course using Standard Kart, Standard Wheels and Super Glider".

The games included on the cartridge were also played in the event where participants fought against each other to log the best score from the games "Super Mario Bros.", "Rad Racer", and "Tetris".

Probably the rarest and the most valuable cartridges released for the NES gaming console, the Nintendo World Championships cartridge is coveted by collectors and game fans alike.
