Drawn in the Sky Sports studios by Alex McLeish and John Salako, alongside host Julian Warren, things appeared to go awry early on during the Southern part of the draw.

The first round is in the books, and Leeds United have been drawn to play Newport County in the second round of the oh-so-prestigious Carabao Cup.

The draw will follow the conclusion of tonight's televised tie between Bury and Sunderland at Gigg Lane.

The draw took place with the 25 highest-placed teams from last season's league campaign all seeded.
