'GLOW' has been renewed by Netflix for a second season

The show follows the lives of the titular "Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling" and is inspired by the real-life sports show that briefly aired on United States television during the 1980s.

Netflix has renewed GLOW, its comedy-drama about 1980s female wrestling for a second season.

The series follows Ruth Wilder (Community's Alison Brie), a struggling actress who gets a second shot when she winds up auditioning for a spot on Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.

Orange Is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan and Tara Herrmann are executive producers on the series, alongside Flahive and Mensch, who are serving as showrunners.
