HMD Global is planning to show off the Nokia 8 on August 16. No other details about the upcoming budget smartphone from Nokia are known from the leak except for the confirmed Bluetooth 4.1 feature.
As seen on the images, the interfacehas a sandwich menu in the top left corner from which a camera setup can be chosen.
HMD said when it introduced its first Nokia handsets a few months ago that its devices will run a near-vanilla version of Android, which should guarantee speedy and steady Android updates.
The decision to go with the 8 in the nomenclature is adding more fuel to this speculation.
The Nokia 8 will be officially launching on Aug. 16. Android Police's David Ruddock took to Twitter recently to say that Google will probably release version 8.0 of its software next week. It is expected to come in colors like blue, silver and gold. There have been rumors of an iris scanner as well, though no reliable information on the matter emerged so far. And we had previously seen the same device on Geekbench, where the listing referred to Android 7.1.1 being the OS for the upcoming flagship. However, Nokia 2 seems to lack an LED flash on the front.
The Nokia 3 is now available in the UK, in stores with an RRP of £119.99. The LG V20 is the first smartphone to get the Andriod 7.0 Nought out of the box in last year. It also runs Android O, which is unexpected for a phone that's not even official. Meanwhile, the Nokia 5 will be coming on July 19 for £179.99.
HMD Global will soon launch its first Nokia-branded flagship Android handset.
The alleged Nokia 8 listing on Geekbench suggests that it is powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset. "Add to that classic, timeless looks and you have what is simply a great phone - the Nokia 105".
Nokia 8 Price will be 600 Euros.
This means that the so-called Nokia 8, also referred to by some as the Nokia 9, likely will see its very own launch event later in the year.
