Chennai: The Nazarathpet Police in Chennai summoned actress and Tamil Bigg Boss contestant Oviya alias Helen as she allegedly attempted suicide on the show.
The complaint was filed by Saravanan, an advocate, who said that the show's participants had to stay cooped inside a closed compound for 100 days and had to take the permission of the producers to leave the premises. Therefore, police have now issued summons to Oviya for her clarification the issue.
The complainant alleged that the host and the producers of the show forced Oviya to attempt suicide in a bid to increase the TRP of the show. In a report by The Hindu, Nazarathpet police Inspector Jaichandran said, "We have recorded the complaint in the Community Social Register (CSR)". She is now back to her daily routine and is preparing for the shoot of Silukkuvaripatti Singam which features Vishnu Vishal and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles. "We spoke to Oviya's personal secretary, who denied that she attempted suicide".
