Boris Johnson defends UK's 'pitiful' response to Hurricane Irma

The volatile situation sparked by Hurricane Irma has led to a mass jailbreak in Tortola, one of the British Virgin Islands (BVI), where more than 100 "very serious prisoners" are now at large, the UK Minister for Europe and the Americas has said.
Days after Hurricane Irma destroyed parts of the Caribbean, residents throughout the island nations say they're in need of assistance amid reports of lack of food, shelter and in some cases violence.
Irma has killed 24 people so far, but none have been reported in Cuba.
