Lourd is now promoting American Horror Story: Cult, and she sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to discuss the show. As it turns out, Abrams, who co-wrote and directed The Force Awakens (and has just been hired to direct and co-write Star Wars: Episode IX), had Lourd audition for the key role in the film that eventually went to Daisy Ridley. I don't know, if I say that I'm doing good, I am too happy.

"He ended up finding Daisy Ridley. It's really hard to know what to say about it because it is so surreal and impossible to deal with".

"I went in and he ended up giving me a tiny role with a couple of lines and I was super excited".

But despite looking thoroughly composed, the New York University graduate admitted of her twin losses: 'Yeah, it's completely surreal. This is one of the most uncomfortable environments in the world. About not being cast as Rey, Billie Lourd had this to say.

After starring in her first acting gig, Lourd landed a role in Ryan Murphy's series "Scream Queens". And here, Billie Lourd recalls the moment when she was called in by the director. If you're comfortable here, you should do this.

Reynolds, famous for her roles in seminal Hollywood musicals like Singin' in the Rain and The Unsinkable Molly Brown, established the dance studio in 1979 and it has served as a school and practice facility since then.

Opening up she said, "I'm a big believer of things happening for a reason and I think I ended up on that movie for a reason", "It was really incredible for us to get to have that experience together", Lourd said.

Next up, of course, will be Lourd's reprisal of Lieutenant Connix in The Last Jedi. It's been a very hard year for Lourd, having suffered the loss of her mom last December, followed by the death of her maternal grandmother, Debbie Reynolds the following day.

The actress explained that she feels like it was an unbelievable experience to act with her mom and believes it happened for a reason. Who knows what could have been if she never auditioned for Rey a few years ago?
