Under DACA, undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S.as children are protected from deportation.

The federal government announced the end of the DACA program earlier this month, giving eligible residents until October 5th to submit final applications for new enrollments and renewals.

"We were going to have the Rolls-Royce of a big, attractive wall", King said, adding that Trump's more recent comments about immigration mean that "the Rolls-Royce is now going to be an overhauled jalopy".

CASTRO: You know, I've said before that on any controversial issue, you tend to get four or five different answers from the White House depending on who you talk to.

"It's frustrating to me because it's given me false hope", the 19-year old said, summing up her feelings after the whiplash day of DACA news in Washington. And the Immigration Legal Resource Center estimates that removing them will cost business owners across the country $3.4 billion in termination and replacement costs.

For others, getting rid of the temporary deferment was about law and order, a move meant to fortify American borders and enforce existing laws by forcing Congress to fish or cut bait on revisiting the rules of those who call the USA home.

"I don't think it's unclear to anybody what those campaign promises were, but it looks to me like he's preparing to keep Hillary Clinton's promise rather than his own". President Trump has urged Congress to do something and to do it right, and so they should. In July, I introduced the most recent version of the Dream Act with my friend Lindsey Graham, Republican of SC.
