Following North Korea's second missile launch over Japan in a month, top officials from the two nations met for pre-arranged talks that are now likely to focus on a response to Pyongyang's latest test.

Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe said that Japan would "never tolerate" what he called North Korea's "dangerous provocative action that threatens world peace" following a missile launch over his country.

The UN Security Council has banned North Korea's textile exports and capped its imports of crude oil. It travelled about 3,700 km (2,300 miles) in total, according to South Korea's military, far enough to reach the US Pacific territory of Guam, which the North has threatened before. That means it had the capacity to reach the US territory of Guam.
