Just a day after Rahul Gandhi alleged that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) discriminates women and was slammed for the same, the Congress vice-president is back in news for a rather embarrassing gaffe that he committed during his Gujarat visit.
The Congress Working Committee, the highest decision making body in the party, is expected to meet soon to decide the dates for the election of a new president.
"During his visit to Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi interacted with people from all walks of life, including students and traders".
The remark drew immediate condemnation from the BJP with Union Minister Smriti Irani terming it as "indecent".
The BJP has now made a decision to deploy leaders from Uttar Pradesh for its campaign in Gujarat. He said that the next promise Modi might make to the people of Gujarat is that he will give them a rocket each to ferry them to Moon.

The Yatra will culminate in a grand "mahasammelan" on October 16 in the outskirts of Ahmedabad which will witness the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national chief Amit Shah.
"The UPA government did everything to ensure that Sardar Sarovar Dam did not get completion or objections were raised unnecessarily", he said. While reaching out to the public, Gandhi slammed the NDA government in the centre and the BJP government in the state.
