OPPO F5 goes on sale in India, price starts at Rs. 19990


The Oppo F5 is a successor to the Oppo F3 and comes with an all-metal design, minimal bezels, an edge-to-edge display, a 20MP selfie camera with AI features and Android Nougat with Color OS on top. Unfortunately for those who were planning to buy the 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant, this is not now available in India.

The Smartphone sports a 6-inch Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and Corning Glass 5 protection and a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels.

Oppo F5 comes with 4GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 6GB RAM with 64GB internal storage priced at Rs 19,990 and Rs 24,990 respectively. The selfie camera comes with AI technology which promises clear and lovely selfies and can be used to unlock the device using facial recognition.

Both Amazon and Flipkart have a bunch of deals lined up for prospective Oppo F5 buyers.

The Oppo F5 is powered by the relatively low-end octa-core MediaTek MT6763T processor paired with 4/6GB of RAM and a 3,200mAh battery. We earlier reported that the Oppo F5 might be launched in three variants and with this announcement, the news has been confirmed. The internal storage can be expanded up to 256 GB using a microSD card. Up front there is a 20 megapixel camera with an f/2.0 lens designed for Selfies.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG support, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Color choices include black and red. As for the rear camera, the device has 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and f/1.8 aperture. Oppo mentions that the AI will utilise information from a massive global photo database to beautify a selfie shot taken by the Oppo F5.

OPPO has also announced F5 6GB and F5 youth version which will be launched in December 2017.
