The images have been leaked on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo, that shows a notch at the top of the handset similar to that of iPhone X. However, a report from Android Central claims the device is in fact the Mi Mix 2 and not its successor.
The display of predecessor Mi Mix 2 is untouched and consumes the majority of the front.
That being said, at the launch event of Mi Mix 2 in India a month ago, Xiaomi Product Lead, Jai Mani said that the company indeed tested out notch on the Mix series, but later on scrapped the plan and has gone with chin at the bottom which also has the front-facing camera.
Furthermore, the MIUI theme store has plenty of themes that allow users to give their Xiaomi phones an iPhone X-like look.

Xiaomi's Mi MIX 2 is a great smartphone, bringing in narrow-bezel displays to affordable flagship category. The bezel-less phone rivals the iPhone X, Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8 in the premium smartphone segment.
Apple's iPhone X with its top-notch has been a trending toping the past whole month. So, take this new Mi Mix 2s leak with a grain of salt and there's no confirmation from Xiaomi as of now on the Mi Mix 2s. The highlights of MI MIX 2 is its HD 5.99-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels 18:9 display with pixel density of 403 ppi and a DCI-P3 color gamut.
Xiaomi sees the iPhone X and its positive reception from consumers, and now an upgraded Mi Mix 2s could relocate the front-facing camera to a more traditional spot.
