Green Beret Killed in Niger May Have Been Executed

Three weeks ago, the widow of one of the slain US military personnel in Niger had at his burial, said she was unsure her husband's remains were indeed in the coffin. La David Johnson was discovered with his hands bound and a massive head wound either from a gun shot or another kind of trauma.
A USA military official acknowledged Johnson's body was viciously battered but said it was too early to tell if he had been captured and executed, telling the Post that Johnson's hands were not tied when Americans retrieved his body.
One of four US soldiers killed in an ambush by Islamist militants last month in Niger was found with his arms bound with rope, suggesting he was captured and executed, the Washington Post reported on Friday. La David Johnson betrayed his fellow soldiers in an ambush that killed him and three of his comrades in Niger earlier this month.
This indicates that U.S. Army Sgt. "They took his shoes". The military wouldn't allow his widow, Myeisha Johnson, to see his body, offering the severity of her husband's body's condition as the reason.
Myeshia Johnson was in the news mostly as a result of an infamous call President Donald Trump made to Johnson's widow. Bryan Black, Jeremiah Johnson and Dustin Wright, dressed in T-shirts and boxer shorts, although it wasn't known when their clothing may have been removed. Five Nigerien soldiers also died in the attack.
Many questions remain about the attack. The Post reports that Boubacar found Johnson's remains about a mile away from the ambush site, lying face down, the back of his head had been smashed by something.
As reported by The Root, the Pentagon is now investigating the circumstance of the attack.
