Mumbai Police towed a Car With Woman Breastfeeding Her Baby Still Inside


The police officer added that the woman in her statement said that since her child is an infant, she was breastfeeding the baby, which was her first priority.

Mumbai: A video is going viral on social media in which the Mumbai Traffic Police could be seen towing away a vehicle with a lady inside it breastfeeding her baby. The incident took place on SV Road in Malad west on Friday and was shot on a cellphone by a bystander , As Reported By IE.

She begged and pleaded to stop the towing with the towing officer - a traffic policeman believed to be named Shashank Rane, who was not wearing his name badge while on duty, which is also against the rules of the Maharashtra Police.

Now, the concerned authorities have reportedly ordered an enquiry into the incident. Hence, pending inquiry, the constable has been placed under suspension. "The issue will be dealt appropriately and sternly and the report will be submitted to me on Sunday". However, Rane refused to listen to her and mercilessly towed away the auto along with another constable who was seated inside the vehicle.

However, despite pleas by the videographer and others to the traffic cop to stop towing as something untoward could happen to both woman and child, he appeared unconcerned and continued speaking over his mobile phone.
