Rowan Atkinson aka 'Mr Bean' to become father at 62
Nov 13 2017 by Francis Osborne
Multiple British newspapers have reported the Mr Bean actor is set to become a father again at 62. According to The Mirror, the comedian is expecting a baby with his partner Louise Ford in the next few weeks. Rowan already has son Ben, 23, and daughter Lily, 21, from his marriage to Sunetra Sastry. The news of Louise Ford's pregnancy comes just a month after Atkinson's daughter chose to change her surname.
A source told the Sunday People: "Rowan and Louise are over the moon and can't wait for their new arrival".
Louise is well-known for her roles in The Windsors and Crashing on Channel 4. The couple met in 2012 when they acted together in West End comedy Quartermaine's Terms. They met for the first time in late 1980s when Sunetra was working as a makeup artist with the BBC.
The happy news comes just one month after Rowan's daughter, Lily, changed her surname from Atkinson to her mother's maiden name, Sastry, and deleted her social media pages.
Atkinson, who attracted nearly 19 million viewers in his role as Mr Bean at its peak, has amassed a fortune of an estimated £70million.
"It's a real mystery", a friend said. "Atkinson has been Lily's name all her life, but she's now dropped it and is styling herself as Lily Sastry". "The divorce was really hard for everyone in the family".
His silent Mr Bean character - first seen in 1990 - has appeared in three hit movies so far.
