The Falcons will be going into next week's Monday Night Football matchup against the Seahawks without Devonta Freeman, who suffered his second concussion of the season on Sunday.
The hit on Freeman by Anthony Hitchens appeared to be violent enough to cause a concussion on its own, and Freeman was noticeably dazed after that hit. He needed 15 days to fully clear the league's concussion protocol during the preseason. But Atlanta's running game is in good hands, as Tevin Coleman stepped in on Sunday against the Cowboys and produced well (20 carries for 83 yards and a touchdown, one catch for five yards).
Freeman left the game against Dallas early in the first quarter and was taken to the locker room to be evaluated for a head injury.
