Green Bay Packers rookie standout Aaron Jones is expected to miss several weeks with an MCL injury, according ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. Jones was hurt on the opening drive against the Bears when his right knee appeared to get caught underneath him as he was tackled by linebacker Sam Acho. He produced two games with over 100 rushing yards during his first three starts but was held to just 24 total rushing yards over the last two games. After all, they went into the 2017 thinking that Montgomery would be the lead back.

Jones (knee) and fellow running back Ty Montgomery (ribs) suffered injuries during the team's win over the Chicago Bears. He's scored three touchdowns.

McCarthy said Monday that Montgomery's injury was not as serious as Jones'.

The 22-year-old Jones, a fifth-round pick out of UTEP, is the Packers' leading rusher this season with 370 yards on 70 carries in eight games.

The Packers will miss him in what has become an injury-riddled season, but the good news is that Montgomery is back. This is his first notable ailment since joining the Packers.
