Trump's comments came shortly before he took off for the Philippines, the final stop of his five-country Asia trip.
Donald Trump has hailed his "great relationship" with the controversial Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte at the end of a two-day regional summit in Manila. The two men also shared a laugh in the meeting when Duterte called reporters "spies", the Associated Press reports.

However, Trudeau said that during his conversation with Duterte, he "mentioned human rights, rule of law and specifically extra-judicial killings as being an issue that Canada is concerned with".
