The movie was slated for release in just 10 days time, but has instead been pulled from schedules and sold back to the production company Emmett/Furla/Oasis.

Beverly Hills-based production company Emmett/Furla Oasis Films bought the film back from Lionsgate, Variety, Entertainment Weekly, SFGate and other sources report.

Producers Emmet/Furla/Oasis are looking for a new distributor but it's highly unlikely one will be found before December 15th.

The film stars Oscar-nominated actor John Travolta as John Gotti, the infamous leader of the Gambino crime family.

The Tracking Board, which first reported the story, notes that finding a new distributor shouldn't present a big problem.
