The Long Night is said to be inspired by true crime podcasts Serial and S-Town, along with a healthy dose of the HBO series True Detective for good measure. The main suspect, naturally, is everyone's favorite metal skeletoned Canadian mutant, Wolverine, voiced by Richard Armitage, probably best known for his role as Thorin Oakenshield in The Hobbit film trilogy.
The series will also include veteran character actors Scott Adsit, Bob Balaban, and Brian Stokes Mitchell. "This tremendous cast will bring a thrilling level of intrigue and drama to our listeners". Chloe Prasinos, who was formerly a producer for Gilmet's "Reply All", will oversee sound design. "The character of Logan and this landscape make it the ideal premiere vehicle for us, and we're excited to continue to explore the dynamic possibilities of the podcast medium".
