Met Office predicts snow for Rotherham

A status yellow wind warning is in place for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry.

Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow weather warning, forecasting snow, wind and ice for most parts of the country over the next 24 hours.

This will clear during the morning to leave an often sunny, but increasingly cold day with some snow showers later.

"When evening comes in, temperatures will drop and those showers will turn wintry in Donegal, north Mayo, Connemara, north Longford and north Midlands". "Northwest winds will be strong and gusty".

Northwest winds of 55 to 65 are expected to gust 100 to 110 km/h - strongest winds in coastal areas and over high ground.
