New operations this week will see USA bombers fly over the Korean peninsula as part of a huge drill that is being co-ordinated with South Korea.
The bombing drill comes just one week after North Korea conducted a test of a never-before-seen intercontinental ballistic missile theoretically able to range all of the continental U.S.
Zhang Liangui, a professor of global strategic research at ChinaÂ's Central Party School, said: "North Korea has fired a new missile that can reach the U.S. and the USA is conducting large scale navy drills with South Korea".
The South Korean army's adoption of drones on the battlefield follows the footsteps of the US and Chinese armed forces, which have already adopted swarming drone tactics.
