Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Versus Mode

It allows you to battle a friend on the same system (with two controllers or a pair of Joy-Cons), hand-pick three-hero squads and use every technique and trick from your sleeve to claim victory across special surprise-filled maps.

While I wish this update also came with online play, it's cool to see games like Mario + Rabbids getting support in the form of free little updates like this. They successfully launched the hottest console of the year, have multiple first party titles in contention for game of the year and are selling high-margin plastic figurines faster than the factory can make them.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, one of the most surprisingly unbelievable games of 2017, is getting a free Versus mode this Friday, December 8.

INTERACTIVE MAP: Lilac Fire rips through North San Diego County
The nearby Sullivan Middle School and Bonsall High School have been evacuated, along with other nearby areas. Authorities cleared people out of communities near the fire.

Creek Fire: Firefighters steadily increase containment
Seventeen evacuation centers were opened throughout the San Fernando Valley , and all were accepting evacuees and pets. Nearly 1,700 firefighters and other personnel were deployed Thursday against the fire, which was 10 percent contained.

Apple Pay Cash and person to person payments limits
If you have a MacBook with Touch ID, you can use Apple Pay Cash, or you can connect an older Mac to your iPhone and pay that way. Once the payment has been sent to the recipient, it will be marked as "Pending" until it is accepted by the recipient.

In the main campaign for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, players will form a team of three unique characters, customizing their abilities via each character's dedicated skill tree to form the ideal trio. Notably, Versus mode will only provide three actions for players per turn.

Players will also be able to select either all-Rabbid or all-Mushroom Kingdom-based teams, unlike in the main game where players had to have Mario and at least one Rabbid on their team at all times. Each character comes with its own unique pre-sets, including specific statistics and skills, so you can create your own winning strategy. It'll be available for download from the Nintendo eShop from December 8. Power ups that do things like let a character act a second time or deal more damage that turn can appear.
